We stayed in an excellent 3 storied apartment that made for a comfortable stay. Each floor had a balcony: the first for catching sunrise, the second for beating the mid-day heat and looking towards the sea and countryside, and the third for quick drying your clothes. The unit came with kitchen utensils, pots, pans, an electric kettle, a hotplate, and a fridge. This place would be perfect for living short term, very much like a home. The facilities had a pool, there was wifi (~15-25 Mbps), and enough space nearby for street parking for smaller vehicles. As for our host, he was wonderful. Pleasant and helpful whenever we needed it. He made sure to discreetly take care of trash and quick bathroom upkeep without ever being intrusive. As for the area, it was close enough to get to tourist places along the northern coast, a 20 minute drive from the big city (Chania), but still quiet and peaceful as it is a small village. There were a few restaurants within walking distance if cooking in your apartment is not for you. Although I didn't have the pleasure, you can also get breakfast at Orestis. In regards to locations, I believe you will need personal transportation as I didn't see any buses. Other than that, I've only got positives to say for this place and I hope I'll be able to stay longer than 4 days next time.

The apartment is designed in a maisonette format. The sleeping area is on the top floor while the kitchen, bathroom and living area are on the lower floor. Each apartment has its private access from the pool level. From the living room balcony, you get a gorgeous view of the adjacent olive groves and the sea in the distance. The kitchen is sparsely furnished, but basically has everything we need for our stay nevertheless. The apartment is situated in a quiet and hilly neighbourhood (non-touristic), away from the touristy and bustling main street that runs parallel to the beach. Access to the beach and beach-front stores/restaurants (7 mins by car). There were 2 restaurants in the direct vicinity from the apartment (1-2 min walk). Water, beer and soft drinks were available at very reasonable prices at the reception 24/7. The owner/receptionist is also very kind and helpful. He also responses to your questions or requests very promptly on WhatsApp. We enjoyed our stay at Stalos a lot. Thank you for everything! :)

If you want more quiet place to stay with a neat and nice pool area, with wonderful staff - this is a good place to stay! We truly enjoyed our stay in Stalos, there was really good authentic greek restaurant 1 min walking from the hotel. Staff were superb and communication was fast and our needs were met! Thank you! Preferable better for people that are gonna rent a car. Taxi to the Chania center is around 15€ and to the Agia Marina beach area around 10e, from Agia Marina you can also take the bus to the city.

I went there with my family end of July and it was the perfect place. You're away from the touristy places but still close enough to drive to Chania inner city whenever you feel like it. Nassos really made us feel welcomed with everything. The view from the 3 balconies was amazing and the location was perfect. You can easily hike through the amazing mountains. And even though we managed to get locked outside many times he fixed it for us. We will definitely come back if we're visiting Chania again

It’s a great hotel with breathtaking views of the mountains and sea, the rooms all are very clean, with fully equipped kitchen, and everything you’d expect from an apartment. It’s a great place for digital nomads who live to work from their balcony with their laptop. The energy is great, the atmosphere / air is very clean. I also recommend this place for athletes or anyone who’s planing to run/spring up and down the hills or cycle. This place is also great in the winter and all other seasons.
